Discovery NotesOn 1/29/23, at 12:45 p.m., I collected my soil sample from outside my local Dunkin' Donuts located in Saint Charles, IL. Upon retrieving my soil sample, the soil was dark brown and had roots, rocks, and dead leaves/grass stuck in it. The weather was very dry and cold the day I collected my soil, so to moisten it, I poured a little bit of hot water over it. After doing so, I was able to collect approximately 1/2 pound of soil to use for my research.
Naming NotesI chose to name my phage Sapphire because it is my favorite gem.
