Discovery NotesThe soil sample used to find the phage was taken from an area of Mowat Farm park in Ottawa, Canada, where a reforestation project was taking place. The soil was taken from beneath some long grasses, lots of organic matter was present. The ambient temperature at the time of discovery was 21 degrees Celsius. The soil sample was taken from 3-5cm below the surface.
