Discovery NotesThis virus was found on UTSA main campus between the Flawn sciences building and a parking garage. The soil was obtained from underneath a large oak tree. The soil was slightly damp but mainly crumbly. There were little bright green weeds found around the soil.
Naming NotesBy combing the founder’s name and important family members names, the virus would be named NEVE. The founder changed the spelling to the Gaelic way, Niamh. The 25 is added because that’s the year the virus was discovered.
