Discovery NotesGroup: Jeff Matullo, Tyler Evans, Johnathon Ribett
I collected my soil sample from the city and it was surrounded by pavement and snow, as it was my front yard. Its appearance was relatively moist and had small roots and pieces of mulch in the sample. The soil was very clumpy and when I put the soil into the NaCl, I had to separate big clumps of soil. I collected the sample at night(1/26) and there was snow surrounding the soil, and the temperature was about 30 degrees.
