Discovery NotesIsolated from a soil sample taken from the garden of the William Pitt Union on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh near the corner of Fifth Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard. The weather at the time of collection was cloudy with temperatures around 70°F. Many flowers were growing in the soil, and growing grass was also present at the sample collection site. Mulch was moved from directly on top of the collection site. The soil appeared very dark in color in the bag and had a moist texture. NOTE: Soil sample was "adopted" from another student and was not collected by the experimenter.
Naming NotesThe phage was named after the great aunt of the experimenter, who was very small like the plaques of this phage.
