Discovery NotesThe soil came from an outdoor pot that received direct weather for the past 9 years. Animal interactions occurred near the area with cats but no human interaction.
Naming NotesMy phage is adorable, so I named it after something else adorable. I did have other names that had deeper meaning to them, but they were all already used.

Plaque NotesTwo types of lytic phage came from the direct and enriched samples, a 1mm and 2mm. The 2mm was picked and successfully purified after 2 rounds. A total of 2025 plaques were needed to create a webbed plate and 8.1 uls of d2 were used to successfully create 4 webbed plates. The final amplification for TweetieBird was 2X10^9 PFU/mL. The phage grew best in 30 degrees C.
