Discovery NotesThe wet soil sample was collected from a hole dug by my dogs in my backyard 5-6 inches below the surface. There were lots of trees surrounding the hole. The ambient air temperature was 0 degrees Celsius and the sample itself was covered in frost. It also contained a root and other organic matter.
Naming Notes"Patito" means duckling in Spanish; it was the nickname my friends gave me in high school. My love for science research started in high school, so I wanted to pay homage to my high school self for getting me to the place I am today.
