Discovery Notes | Discovered at UKZN Westville Campus, School of Life Sciences garden. The soil was dry and light tan in colour. |
Naming Notes | Naming of the phage is related to the location (The Flower Garden) where I collected the soil sample. At the spot where I collected the soil sample were two pears, just on the surface and therefore I decided to call the phage the mother of those pears, hence 'Pearma'. |
