Discovery NotesSoil collected on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. The sample site was close to a tree which infers a shaded area and close to a sidewalk in an area that was consistently watered by sprinklers. Furthermore, the soil was found below mulch and nearby to medium length grasses.
Naming NotesDuring isolation and characterization, many experiments were repeated a minimum of 5 times, sometimes ranging up to 8 or 9 times. This struggle forced us to name our phage "Perfection" to highlight the irony that our phage is anything but perfection.
