Discovery NotesThis phage was isolated from soil found near the roots of a tree on the Sixth College lawn at UC San Diego. I collected the sample on October 2, 2019 at approximately 11:45 AM. The soil was slightly moist and dark brown. In addition to soil, there were many conifer needles at the base of the tree.
Naming NotesI named my phage Phaisy (phage + daisy) because one phage's capsid and tail reminded me of a daisy!
