Discovery NotesPhage Phallon was isolated from urban soil, close to cement, trees, and bushes, collected from a depth of 7 cm on 10/3/16 by Regis Fallon. Phallon was isolated using 1 gram soil enriched with M. smeg in water, glycerol broth, AD supplement, and CaCl2 for 48 hours at 30C.

Characterization was performed by Team Phaged and Confused (Alexis Doherty, Regis Fallon, Josh Green, Alexis Dowiak) and Team Phage-a Vu (Thuytien Duong, Marco Aquinde, Catherine Le, Jennifer Bergsma).
