Discovery NotesThe soil was collected on August 27, 2013 at 13:34. The air temperature at the time of collection was 25 degrees Celsius. The soil was saturated due to rainfall the previous day, and the sample was taken from a depth of 2cm. The sample was collected from a dirt nature trail of the Earthplace Nature Center and the site therefore experiences moderate foot traffic. The surrounding area is a densely wooded, swampy area, and the site is located at the edge of a stream. There are a few scattered residences in the area. The closest manmade object to the site is a residence across the stream at a distance of 80m.
