Discovery Notes | This Gordonia phage was extracted from a soil sample taken at George Mason University's Innovation Garden several hours after moderate rainfall. The top layer of soil was covered with mulch therefore the actual soil sample was taken several inches below the surface since the soil was still moist and seemed ideal for bacterial & phage growth. |
