| Discovery Notes | The sample was taken from about 2 inches below the surface in the bed of a seasonal pond on 8/24/2023 at 7:19 pm EST. The area was shaded and the soil was slightly moist. |
| Naming Notes | Faramir is a ranger-type character from Lord of thing Rings, a favorite book series of mine. Since my phage was isolated form a sample found in the woods, naming it after a nature related character made sense, and Faramir is one of my favorite characters. |

| Plaque Notes | When incubated for 48 hrs at 34°C, Pharamir shows well isolated plaques of about 3mm to 4mm. The plaques are very turbid, with a more turbid ring abound the center. They also appear less turbid and smaller when at higher concentrations. |
