| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was collected at a depth of 3-8cm beneath the surface at 25℃ ambient temperature. Site characteristics include fairly moist, soil was a dark brown, color, not dusty like surface dirt, rural sample, not very much foot traffic, except it was taken from a flower farm, so there may be foot traffic from planters/maintenance staff, not many trees nearby, only flowers, soil taken from mound that is above normal surface level, but was not exposed to air. Enriched isolation was performed using hosts Arthrobacter globiformis, Arthrobacter atrocyaneous, Arthrobacter sulfureus , and Arthrobacter sp. Culture was incubated with shaking for 48 hours at 30ºC.
