Discovery NotesThe soil was collected outside of Race Street Residences on Race Lawn. It had rained the day before, so the weather was cloudy and moist. The sample was collected from a grassy area with little water droplets on the edges of the grass. The grass was cleared before the soil extraction. The collected soil was cool and damp. The sample was collected on 9/24/24 at 4:51 p.m. The depth of the soil was 5.08 cm, and the temperature during the collection was 21.6667 degrees Celsius.
Naming NotesThe phage name arose from the current pop-culture dispute between the rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar. We wanted to represent the period in which the phage was found through current pop culture references. Therefore, this name was named after the iconic songs made by the rapper Kendrick Lamar.
