Discovery Notes | Soil sample came a backyard which is located near a lot of trees surrounded by a fence. The area is grassy, but surrounded by lots of weeds. When the sample was collected, a plethora of rocks and roots were included in the sample container. |
Naming Notes | We decided to name our phage Phine due to its "fine" morphology. The tiny pin-prick plaques are a key feature to identifying this phage. |

In addition, we suspect the possibility of a clear plaque mutant that exist as clear plaques with an approximate average diameter of three millimeters. |
