Discovery Notes | Phage was found in soil that was relatively damp, especially a few inches below the surface. Thick, full of organic matter. Relatively cool and more on the chunky side. |
Naming Notes | We are food lovers and in our society people like us are often termed as being a "foodie". Since this is a phage discovery, we decided to replace the 'f' in "foodie" with 'ph', hence giving the phage the name "Phoodie". |

Plaque Notes | The plaques were clear with no halos or cloudiness. The morphologies were relatively spread out and around the same size of 0.15 cm which was seen in multiple rounds of purification, ensuring we were picking the same phage every time. |
