Discovery NotesThe phage was first thought to infect A. globiformis but it was discovered that the host bacteria was actually a contaminant from the original HHMI sample.
Naming NotesAfter 28 failed environmental samples this phage was adopted from a lab partner. It then took numerous attempts to be able to successfully purify and to get a suitable DNA concentration. As such this phage was a little devil to find. The name is also play on my school mascot which is the Sundevil.
