| Discovery Notes | This was a lawn sample that was collected on 9/5/2025 at 3pm. The forecast was 58°F, and it was cloudy and windy that day. The soil sample was taken from the top of a man-made hill, which was full of grass. The soil itself was slightly moist and had sections of hard/dense soil and soft soil. |
| Naming Notes | River; We decided to name our phage PinPickles because every sample we collected, we only got a pin-prick-sized phage time and time again. This resulted in us flooding a plate with over 40 super small-sized phages in hopes of being able to create a highly concentrated phage plate. We both also like pickles. Sean; In the same way my starving stomach looks at 2 am McDonald's, this phage is an absolute treasure. As many others, I consider this Phage my illegitimate offspring. As any loving parent would do, I will send him away to be stored in a dark room for the rest of his life. |

| Plaque Notes | First started off as only a couple of small, white, or clear-looking pin-prick-sized phages. After flooding, we obtained a great number of small to medium-sized black colored phages. There are a couple that are clustered together, but they seem to be spread across the entire plate. |
