Discovery Notes | This phage had been found at a bus stop in Sunderland, Massachusetts. The soil had been moderately dry, with no surrounding buildings present. There had been small weed-like plants in the surrounding soil. |
Naming Notes | Our group had wanted to give our phage a unique name. We had wanted to incorporate our shared favorite color of pink, and an animal we all had found interesting; such as a lion. This combinatory nature had given rise to our name of "Pinklion". |
