Discovery Notes | Early on while discovering this phage, I initially believed that I had no phage because no plaques appeared to be present. However, this was because the plate itself was actually one large plaque. Subsequent trials showed that the plaques merged together if uninhibited. |
Naming Notes | Pluto was the Roman god of the dead. Because of this phage's apparent voraciousness early on in the study, it fits it well. |
