Discovery NotesPoBoy was discovered by a path stretching from Merion Hall to Claver House across from McShain Hall on the Saint Joseph's University campus at 1:33 pm on February 03, 2022. The soil was moist dug from about 7 cm underground. The ambient temperature was 6.7 degrees Celsius and the ambient humidity was 92% humidity. The weather conditions when the soil was collected was cool and slightly rainy. This soil sample was collected by Sierra Feeney.
Naming NotesPoBoy is named after the staple French sandwich, the Po'Boy, based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. The name is an homage to Lauren's birthplace and culture, but also sounds like the perfect name for something that destroys bacteria.
