Discovery NotesThe original sample from which this phage was collected was a slightly moist soil near a crack in the pavement behind the Howard University Sign on Georgia Avenue. This phage appeared to be active only after the enrichment and plating of a filtrate created from our original soil sample. The sample was collected at 24.4°C with a partly cloudy sky.

Plaque NotesThis Phage exhibited an interesting plaque morphology, characterized by a bullseye pattern with a center clearing and surrounding rings of cloudiness. This led my Lab partner and me to believe that this phage is temperate and undergoes both the lysogenic and lytic pathways of replication.
