Discovery NotesWe obtained our bacteriophage from a soil sample taken from UMBC Library Pond. The sample was collected on 9/14/2022 at a temperature of 75 degrees. We performed direct isolation on 9/15/2022. We incubated overnight and performed our first round of phage purification through plaque assay on 9/22/2022.
Naming NotesWe decided to name our phage: Pondspawn as we found our phage at the UMBC pond!
