Discovery Notes | Phage was previously discovered as a lytic phage, however it has seemingly changed its behavior to be more in line with a temperate phage. |
Naming Notes | Named after the nanotechnology from Destiny 2, a video game. Originally wanted to name my phage SIVA, which is another nanotech from the same name, but that was taken. However, I think Quicksilver works, as not only is it an improvement on SIVA, it behaves similarly to a temperate phage, while SIVA behaves more like a lytic phage. |
