Naming NotesI named my phage "Ratsmackers" because of the electron microscope pictures, the phage looks like a computer mouse, and from there I began thinking of mice and animals like a mouse, so the word
"rat" stuck out to me. Then the second part of the name "smackers" came from my experience in the lab itself. The phage would often eat through most of the bacterial lawn which got me thinking of a person physically eating food - like smacking one's lips - or smackers for short.

The name has since been changed to "RatGourmand" to keep the same spirit of the original name but has been changed for potential vulgarity.
