Discovery NotesThe soil I chose was from Addison, IL. It was found in a curry tree potted plant. The soil was moist because the plant is watered often. The curry tree is usually kept outside, but was brought inside for the winter. In order to retrieve this sample I used latex gloves and dug a little into the pot so I would not get the soil that was on top. I used my hands to scoop the soil that was deeper in the pot into a plastic ziplock bag and filled about three quarters of the bag. The sample was dark brown and did not contain any rocks but it did have some roots from the plant.
Naming NotesI named the phage Raza99. Raza is my last name and 99 is my favorite number.
