Mild weather, warm, slight breeze.
Compost bin soil rich and dark; sample collected under rotting apple, moist.
Bin full of vegetables; fruit flies, fruit fly larvae on apple, ants, open air.
Rotting vegetation included: lettuce, lemon skin, corn.
Naming NotesThis phage creates very large plaques, around 6-8 mm in diameter; even a 1/25 lysate created near perfect web lysis. In keeping with its prolific lysing, I named it Reaper.
