Discovery NotesTaken at Bennet Park on 9/15/24 from a pile of overturned, dry sandy dirt from a construction site at the park. The sample was taken at 9PM in clear, dry weather with an outside temperature of 21 degrees Celsius.
Naming NotesWe decided to name our phage after a god of disease. We ran through a few names from differing mythologies, some were already taken, and some were too long, so we eventually decided on Resheph, the West Semitic god of plague and war. Resheph also being the god of war is fitting due to how our phage likes to fight for control of our lives.
