Discovery NotesCollected at 11:10 a.m. on September 4, 2025, at coordinates 40°25'44.8"N 86°55'17.5"W. The soil was damp from a shower the night before at an outside temperature of 61 degrees Fahrenheit under mostly sunny skies. Wind gusts were up to 13 mph with a 9-mph wind speed at 301 degrees pointing southeast. Air quality index was at 59, UV index is 3, humidity was 62%, pressure was 29.86 inHg. My sample was taken from a dirt patch around a tree.
Naming NotesThe Revenant is one of my favorite movies but the word revenant itself means someone that returns or to return. The word relates to phage studies as they have returned, or re-emerged to become prominent in bacteria that have become resistant to antibiotics.
