Discovery Notes | Soil Sample obtained from pot-plant containing a mint shrub, soil was moist (and regularly watered) and originally came from the GPS location 27.760798S 30.73509E (Outskirts of a small town known as Vryheid in South Africa). The soil likely contained composting materials and bovine waste matter. Lysate in first round of purification and may contain contaminant phage KeRo (isolated from same soil sample). |
