Naming Notes | Saatara is a mix of the first three letters of my name, Saa and tara. My name is unique to me because it would be spelled with only one a, most people who have this name are in India and even in Japan! In India my name would commonly be spelled with only one "a" so I wanted to incorporate this element. The word "Tara" is a Hindia word and it is derived from Sanskrit which means "star". previously named S2aTara, this name can be pronounced as "saahh taraa" or now know as Saatara. When this phage had its first fully webbed plate it was almost cleared and it looked like a bunch of stars or taras. Thus the name SaaTara. |

Plaque Notes | This phage had 2 different morphologies, a big and a small one. Since it was more effective to work on the smaller morphology, it was used for further experimentation and research. This morphology appeared to be a very small circle. |
