Discovery NotesAs I was picking the location for my soil, I heard that backyard soil where kids played was really good. This area was good because I didn’t have to remove excess grass, the soil was already dug here a while back. My siblings and neighbors often come around and play with this soil, which means there is a higher chance of more bacteria and phages. Animals come around this area too, and not that far from this soil sample is a bird that we buried. I got this soil on September 22nd. It was on a Monday evening, and it was mild outside; not too hot and not too cold. I used my siblings garden shovel to dig 1-2 inches deep and collect the soil. There were worms and bugs in the soil, and I had to choose wisely as to not disrupt them. This soil sample was in a grassy area, and I’m pretty sure it is a good area to get a sample.
Naming NotesI named it Saifullah because every other phage name that i thought of was taken. I didn’t want to stay in the process of choosing a new phage name so i used this
