Discovery NotesThe soil I chose from the lawn outside Benedictine University was earthy and very rich in texture. The soil was found in a location near melted snow on a very cold day. It was wet as a result of the melted snow and had a dark brown color with small fragments of sediment and roots. To retrieve the sample I utilized gloves and a plastic bag, and I collected about 1/2 a pound.
Naming NotesThe reasoning behind choosing my phage name to be Saloomi is because it is the nickname my parents gave me.
