This sample was found in Spring 2025 by Nicole Clark. It was taken from Schenley Plaza in a flower bed in a grassy field. The soil looked dry and grainy, and it was a light brown-gray. It had some medium sized chunks, as it was obtained from frozen ground. The weather when it was obtained was sunny and -6ºC.
Naming NotesOur phage is named Saquon after the Penn State/Eagles RB Saquon Barkley. It was not the initial plan, but we had to submit names the morning after Super Bowl LIX, which Saquon and the Eagles won the night before.
