Discovery Notes | The sample was collected at 11:05 p.m. at a depth of 3 cm. The soil was dry but soft/spongy, and collected near the base of a small sapling just off a paved walkway. |
Naming Notes | The name Sarkar comes from my High School Biology teacher, who introduced me to the subject and helped grow my passion for science. I first learned about bacteriophages from her class, and that prior knowledge helped motivate me to participate in this research! |
