Discovery NotesSoil was 1-2 cm beneath the surface of a natural drainage path depressed by rainwater falling off of the roof of Pamplin Hall. Area was mulched but had been washed away by rain, leaving behind bare soil covered in green growth.
Naming NotesWhen I was in second grade, I wrote a story about even tinier germs that could make our germs sick. Since this describes bacteriophages, I decided to name my phage after one of the germs that my eight-year-old self came up with.
