Discovery NotesLocated in a creek behind Western Dining Commons. The sample was collected by our classmate, Emily Harris, at 7:20pm on 9/7/24 with an ambient temperature of 18.3 degrees C (65 degrees F). The soil sample was collected slightly below surface level, was dark, dry, and crumbly in appearance. The sample contained a lot of dead plant material.
Naming NotesThe "seagull" portion of the name incorporates the initials of the people working with the phage, AS and EG. The "angelus" portion of the name means "angel," in Latin, since the phage has a distinct halo surrounding the edges of the plaques.
