Discovery NotesWe found this sample in one of our backyards under a tree in View Ridge, Washington. The soil and air around this spot was dry, but not sandy. The soil under the tree was looser which is why we gathered it from there. When the sample was taken it had rained two days prior.
Naming NotesWe originally wanted to name our phage Leonard after a pet, but it was taken so we went with our second choice of the name Shnoz because we liked the sound of that name.
