Discovery NotesThe phage SimbaTarzan was found on 8/29/18 at 11:55 am. This soil sample was taken outside The Porch, a restaurant on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. It was a humid day with a temperature of 88 degrees Celcius. The soil was therefore dry, and it had a medium, brown color. There were plants present in the area where the soil sample was taken. This sample was stored in a room temperature drawer for half an hour before it was brought to lab.
Naming NotesThis phage is named after my two cats, Simba and Tarzan.
