| Discovery Notes | Phage was found in soil that was damp but not soft. Had to comb through the grass and dig thoroughly to collect sample. Soil was taken from the backyard of my home. |
| Naming Notes | The process of naming the phage was difficult. There were a lot of great ideas but the name Slim Phady was gifted from another group who had chosen a different name for their phage. That is how phages name ended up being Slim Phady which is a play on name of the rapper Eminem whose alias is Slim Shady. |
