| Discovery Notes | I collected my soil sample around 2pm and it was really hot out (90 degrees F, mostly sunny) and the soil was hard and dried up. I got my soil sample from a pond near my house in Aurora, IL. I used a new plastic spoon to dig a little to get some fresh soil in the bottom, but that was dried up too. Soil sample is dark. It also contained small pieces of rocks, grass, and roots. |
| Naming Notes | I named my phage Soilva because it sounds like my name and soil combined. |
