Discovery NotesThe soil I chose was from Four Seasons Park in Lombard, IL. It had rained the night before so the soil was still relatively moist. I dug 2-3 inches below the grass to obtain the soil. The soil was dark and clumpy with white particles throughout. It was obtained while wearing sterile gloves to avoid contamination. The sample was about half a pound and contained pieces of grass and plant roots.
Naming NotesThe reason I chose to name my phage Soni is after my dog.

Plaque NotesPlaque Diameter: 2mm
Plaque Radius: 1mm

Phage Soni formed large clear plaques that measured a diameter of 2 millimeters. This led me to believe that it is a lytic phage that infects the bacterium Arthrobacter globiformis. Due to its large diameter, it didn't take too many plaques to create a webbed plate.
