Discovery NotesThe sample was taken from a very recently submerged area around the outskirts of the pond, next to the drainage output. The soil was very fine, like silt, and quite soupy.
Naming NotesThis phage is named after my dog Cody, a Brittany. They have the same stumpy tail. Though the AKC recently reclassified Brittany's so that they are no longer technically spaniels, I believe them to be anatomically similar enough that neither Cody nor my phage will take offence. Also, the names Brittany and Cody were already taken.
