Discovery NotesDiscovered on campus, in a small wooded area next to a sidewalk. Discovered where the university dumped grass clippings. Lifted the dead grass and took the sample from underneath the pile. The soil was very moist, clumpy, and rooted. It was an overcast day.
Naming NotesThis was the fourth environmental sample I took and spec came from looking at the plate when I first discovered I had a phage. The plate was covered in small plaques which made me think of the word spec.
