Discovery Notes | The sample was found on 5th Ave and Washington Street in Olympia Washington on 9/29/14 under an oak tree. This particular plaque morphology was found on a spot test and then isolated after four successful streak purifications. A serial dilution was performed on a sample plaque from a streak purification and was then determined to be homogeneous. |
Naming Notes | The name for this phage was determined from it's morphology. The plaques are small in diameter and fairly numerous. On petri dishes, this sample often looked like sprinkles on a cookie. |
