| Plaque Notes | Over time, as my phage has gone through multiple lysates and titers, I have always had larger, turbid yet slightly clear plaques on my plate—specifically, all those that have more isolated phages. Over time, mutants became more prominent on my more crowded plates. These mutants turned out to be clear plaque mutants, which the lysogen host cells became immune to. Through Measurements and analyzing past phage sizes, the average plaque size is around 0.45cm in diameter. |
