Lysogeny NotesTo determine the phenotypic morphology of the phage TechDeck, we had to see if there was any difference when the phage was incubated at different temperatures. We incubated the phage on 2 separate spot plates, one at 30ºC, our normal incubation temperature, and one at 37ºC. After incubation, it was determined that the morphology had not changed at all between the different temperatures. The spot plates exhibited mostly clear lysing of the infected area, with more turbid mutants appearing towards the outermost boundary of the spot
Annotating InstitutionUnknown or unassigned
Annotation StatusNot sequenced
Plaque NotesIt has always been a fairly clear plaque morphology, but as I further diluted the phages and plated them, the plaques have turned more turbid. The average size of either the clear or turbid plaques were all around 2mm.
