Discovery NotesI collected the soil sample outside of Clapp Hall (University of Pittsburgh) on the right side of the stairs underneath a large tree. The ground was soft, and the soil was easy to obtain. There was no precipitation on the ground. Twigs and other natural entities were found within the soil. I collected about 1/2 a cup into the plastic bag. There a large tree found close to the sample site. The weather condition at the time of collection was clear and about 15 degrees above freezing. It was a rainy day, and the air was humid. The sample was collected at 02:20 pm. Once the sample was collected, it was transported immediately to the laboratory.
